Learn more about us
ACCD was established in 1978 after Aldersgate United Methodist Church recognized the need for quality, dependable child care in the Northview community.
•We welcome families from all socio-economic groups, ethnicity, religious beliefs, language and family structure.
•We are a non-profit center, governed by a Board of Directors that consists of church members and parents of enrolled children.
The community of Aldersgate believes in
•the uniqueness of each child.
•environmental education for everyone! The church supports a community garden and a “Green Committee” which helps to guide our sustainability decisions.
We promote growth and learning for the whole child through play based, age appropriate activities. Goals are set for individual growth in the following areas:
•cognitive (critical thinking skills)
•emotional/social growth and well-being
•language and literacy
Children will learn skills of observation and appreciation for our shared natural resources through play based activities.
Parents are our partners! When we work together, communicating with each other, we are better able to meet your child’s needs. Parents have a voice through the Parent Forum, and the Board of Directors.
We value community and hope that you will find a sense of belonging in our “extended family” here at Aldersgate.
